OpenTelemetry Export (OTLP)
Overview
Quismon can export check results as OpenTelemetry metrics to any OTLP-capable backend — Prometheus (via remote write receiver), Grafana Cloud, Datadog, Honeycomb, or your own collector. This is a paid/enterprise feature.
What Gets Exported
Each check result becomes a metric data point with attributes:
| Attribute | Example |
|---|---|
| check id / name / type | api-health, https |
| region | na-east-ewr |
| success | true / false |
| response time | milliseconds (where applicable) |
Configuration
GET /v1/otlp # read current config
PUT /v1/otlp # update config
| Field | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
endpoint | string | OTLP/HTTP endpoint of your collector (e.g. https://otlp.grafana.net/otlp) |
headers | object | Auth headers, e.g. {"Authorization": "Bearer <token>"} |
export_interval_seconds | int | How often batches are exported |
Platform admins can also configure per-org via PUT /v1/organizations/{id}/otlp.
Example
curl -X PUT https://api.quismon.com/v1/otlp \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $QUISMON_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"endpoint": "https://otlp.mycompany.com/v1/metrics",
"headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer mytoken"},
"export_interval_seconds": 60
}'
